Murphy Mills is a strategic communications and public relations specialist from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated from Oklahoma State University in 2023 with a B.S. in Strategic Communications and minor in marketing.

Murphy has experience in merchandising, creating products for both FC Tulsa–Tulsa’s minor league soccer team–and Representative Trish Ranson’s 2022 reelection campaign.

For Rep. Ranson’s campaign in the 2022 midterm elections, Murphy developed new campaign branding that led to a nearly 300% increase in merchandise sales. This new branding coincided with a revamped social media presence and new series of blog posts outlining Ranson’s 2022 platform. He continued to work with Rep. Ranson as her communications coordinator, managing her social media accounts, website, mailers and the creation of a style guide for future campaigns through the end of his time as an OSU student.

While working for Rep. Ranson, Murphy simultaneously served as the Events and Tours Assistant for Oklahoma State University’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions. In this role, Murphy coordinated with high school counselors to create specially tailored campus visits for roughly 30 high school groups and 1,000 guests per semester.

Outside of work, Murphy loves film (follow him on Letterboxd @murphymills), writing and traveling. In June 2023, Murphy moved to Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany to work as a civilian employee for the United States Department of Defense at Edelweiss Lodge and Resort.
