Ranson for Oklahoma HOUSE DISTRICT 34
When I joined Representative Ranson’s campaign in May of 2022, I was tasked with creating a new line of merchandise. I brought up the idea of introducing a fresh, new logo for the 2022 Midterms along with several mockups for what that logo might be. The selected design is simple yet classic, something we thought reflected Ranson’s direct yet welcoming leadership style. The new campaign logo was included on everything from shirts and hats to notebooks and tote bags.
Blog posts
Rep. Ranson’s three main issues for the 2022 campaign were education funding, healthcare access and equal opportunity. I conducted extensive secondary research and wrote corresponding blog posts for each of the three points as a resource for voters to better understand how each issue impacted the lives of Oklahomans across the state, including Payne County residents.
The blog posts are available on the campaign website and on instagram in the form of graphics for voters to visualize the scope of each issue.
Social Media DEsigns
Campaign Signage & Advertising
Along with new branding, the 2022 campaign featured updated yard signs and public display banners. Online ads, managed through Meta Business Suite, featured design elements consistent with the new branding guidelines. Video ads on Hulu and YouTube were geofenced to the boundaries of district 34.
cAMPAIGN STYLE guIDE
During my last months working for Rep. Ranson, I developed a style guide to assist in the smooth transition of a new Communications Coordinator. As with any style guide, it featured logo usage and official colors, as well as writing examples for the copywriting of different media.
